The tuition fee depends on the University. On average, the tuition falls between £12,000 and £22,000. But we would use £13,000 as that is the most popular. You are expected to pay 50% which is £6500. Some institutions would request £4,000 or £5,000. Note, these same institutions would expect you to make up the deposit to 50% when you arrive and before you can enrol.
Towards the resumption period and based on the advice from our counsellors, you are expected to have the following amount in your account.
If your school is based OUTSIDE London: £9,207 (which is your upkeep) and the balance of your tuition fee deposit.
So, if your tuition fee is £13,000 and you pay (50%) £6,500, then it means in your account you need to have: £9,207 + £6,500= £15,707
Remember; £9207 is your upkeep & £6500 is your balance tuition fee
So, if you want to know how much in Naira we advise you to multiply by N600.
This means funds in my account: £15,707 X N600= N9,424,200* (It’s better to keep N10m) *Note: The UK Embassy makes use of www.oanda.com for its conversion
If your school is based INSIDE London: £12,006 (which, is your upkeep) and the balance of your tuition fee deposit.
So, if your tuition fee is £13,000 and you pay (50%) £6,500, then it means in your account you need to have: £12,006 + £6,500= £18,506
Remember; £12,006 is your upkeep & £6,500 is your balance tuition fee
If you want to know how much in Naira we advise you to multiply by N600.
This means funds in my account: £18,506 X N600= N11,103,600* *(It’s better to keep N11.5m)
On average, I usually advise clients to Budget N6m which I believe should cover them for the process. Note the N6m is not the entire fee. This is the estimated breakdown of which could be a bit less or more, depending on the exchange rate.
Tuition fee deposit: N3,900,000
Tuberculous test: N60,000
Visa fee and Health Insurance: N1,100,000
Flight Ticket: N400,000
2 Month’s accommodation (1 room) N540,000
*Total N6m (Remember these are estimates) *
We advise that students can start keeping their proof of funds at the latest three months before the resumption of your program. So, if your program starts in September, then latest 14th of June so that by one month keeping your funds, you can submit your bank statement to your school, if they require you to see it.
NOTE: Funds must be kept in the account until your visa is secured
